Charlotte “Wolford” “Osborne” Morehouse Jan 3, 1933 – August 20, 2018 Charlotte Bell (Wolford) “Osborne” Morehouse was born January 3, 1933 in Hermiston, Oregon to Charles Edward Wolford and Alice Carol Vera Thompson. Charlotte was one of six girls, Carol “Wolford” Packard, Marjorie “Wolford” Bloom, Joyce “Wolford” Swain, Sally “Wolford” Hawkins, and June “Wolford” Bullock. She met her husband, Robert Andrew Brown, right out of high school, they were married December 15, 1951 and worked on his family farm. She then worked at St. Anthony’s Hospital helping the Nun’s with whatever they needed, in the laundry department and a cannery to pay for her divorce in 1954. Charlotte then worked at the Pendleton Woolen Mills until she retired, during this time she was also a side saddler in the roundup for many years. Her second husband was the first love of her life Lawrence Ray Osborne, who was peeking through a knot hole and said “that is the girl I am going to marry!” they were married on November 11, 1957 and stayed together until his death June 20, 1979. She then married the second love of her life Lawrence Alfred Morehouse on July 14, 1982 they were together until his death November 2, 1995. After that she stayed single and helped many people. She went to Albuquerque, New Mexico and took care of her sister Joyce until her death. Then went to Vancouver, Washington to help her sister Sally take care of Sally’s husband Eugene until they both passed away. She then bounced around to help friends and family where she felt she was needed. She ended up with heart failure at the age of 80 and that’s when she called her great niece for help. She then ended up with bladder cancer (Urothelial Carcinoma) which traveled to one kidney in April of 2016. They took the cancer out, she had radiation treatments and stayed in remission for a time. Then we got the dreaded news that the cancer was back, this time traveling from bladder to muscle to spine. Charlotte had no children of her own. She then stayed with family where she wanted to be until she went to meet the Lord and be with her loved ones on August 20, 2018 in Portland, Oregon at her great niece’s house. She has multiple generation of family and friends whom will all miss her. She is preceded in death by her parents, her five sisters, husband Lawrence Ray Osborne, and husband Lawrence Alfred Morehouse. Graveside service will be held on August 31, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Olney Cemetery in Pendleton Oregon Burns Mortuary of Pendleton is in charge of arrangements.
