Adolph was born on December 20, 1925 at Nolin, Oregon to Carl and Ella (Kurth) Weinke, their fourth of seven children.  In 1930 the family settled in Pilot Rock Oregon where Adolph attended school, graduating in 1944.

Family was very important to Adolph – you could find him in the crowd of any of his children or grandchildren’s many activities.  He was a hardworking man who farmed and ranched in the Pilot Rock community for more than 70 years.  He enjoyed home cooked meals with family, especially when they were followed up with an apple pie baked by his wife.  His other hobbies included; hunting, fishing, raising and tending to fruit trees, and horseback riding.

He was a former PGG Board Director, member of the Pendleton Elks Lodge, County & State Cattleman’s Association, Oregon Wheat League, Umatilla County Historical Society, Pendleton Jr. Livestock Show Advisory Board and Pilot Rock Booster Club.

Adolph is preceded in death by 5 of his siblings.

He is survived by his wife; Katie of Pilot Rock, children; Rebecca (Tom) Bare of Goldendale, WA, Laura (Sam) Byrnes of Pilot Rock, Michael (Nancy) Weinke of Pilot Rock, and Timothy (Joan) Weinke of Pilot Rock, brother; William Weinke of Pilot Rock, grandchildren; Rachel (Austin) Allen of Echo, Shane Bare of Goldendale, WA, Nolin Bare currently serving in South Korea, Jessica (Jordyn) Jackson of Vancouver, WA, Mitchell (Mackenzie) Byrnes of LaGrande, Lane Byrnes of Corvallis, Austin Weinke of LaGrande, Bailey Weinke of LaGrande, Christopher Weinke of Pilot Rock, Sara Weinke of Pilot Rock and Logan Weinke of Pilot Rock, great grandchildren; Brynley, Jackson, Ryland and Carly along with numerous nieces and nephews.
