Susan Earlene (Truscott) Koeller

            Susan, 62, Pendleton, OR passed away on November 19, 2016.  Susan was born on March 11, 1954, to Richard (Dick) and Carleen Truscott in Baker City, OR.  She spent her younger years growing up on her family ranch on Auburn Road in Baker City. She graduated from Baker City High School in 1972.

            After graduating from high school, she moved to Portland, OR where she attended Northwestern College of Business and received a certificate in Accounting. She then moved to Pendleton with her best friend Lynn Van Dorn and attended BMCC where she received her associate’s degree in Ag Business and was a part of the livestock judging team.

She met her husband Larry in the summer of 1986, and then married February 28, 1987 in Reardan, WA. In 1987, they had their first child Travis in LaGrande, OR. In early, 1988 they moved to Pendleton, OR. In Pendleton they had their second child Corissa and youngest Sarah. During her time in Pendleton she worked for the East Oregonian as the ad manager for several years and then doing advertising for several other businesses. She also owned the bread board for a few years. Her most recent job was working part-time for the Pendleton Round-Up and Happy Canyon Offices.

Her children were her pride and joy. She enjoyed helping and volunteering with her children’s extra circular activities and throughout the community. Her love for the Green Bay Packers was well known. GO PACK! In 2008, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and was an 8 year survivor. After being diagnosed with cancer she enjoyed helping with the breast cancer awareness groups.

She is survived by her husband Larry Koeller, Pendleton, OR; children Travis Koeller,,  Corissa Schuening and her husband Scott, Sarah Caldwell and husband Stephen, Pendleton, OR., Step sons Jeramiah and Carl Koeller, Davenport, WA,. Mother Carleen Hottendorf, Pendleton, OR, Sister Gail Hersey, Jacksonville, FL, Brother Rusty Truscott and wife Eva, Davenport, WA, Godmother of her children Lynn VanDorn, Pendleton, OR, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and grandchildren Abigail and Bristol Schuening

She is preceded in death by her father, Richard Truscott, brother Randy Truscott, in-laws Janet and Dale Koeller.

A celebration of Life will be held Saturday, December, 3rd, 2016 at noon in the Roy Raley Room at the Pendleton Round-Up grounds. The family will provide meats, drinks, and some sides. Please bring a favorite side dish to share if you would like.

RIP Susan. From way back in our college days, we could seek out fun and trouble faster than anyone we knew. I wish your family peace and healing and I know you're up there watching over them. God Speed.

Still can't believe she is gone. She was a very special lady and meant the world to me. I'm so grateful we re-connected after so many years. Our trip to Baker City was delightful as we reminisced about a gazillion things only girls who grew up in Baker City would remember.
May the peace of God surround all of you as you process many memories.
