Ben J. (BJ) Winburn

April 19, 1990 – April 14, 2013




Ben J. (BJ) Winburn passed away April 14, 2013 in Pendleton, Oregon. 

BJ was born on April 19, 1990 in Pendleton, Oregon to Ben and Shirley (Tholberg) Winburn.  He graduated from Pendleton High School in 2008.  He attended Walla Walla Community College and worked at Wildhorse Golf Course for many years.

He married the love of his life Jessica Lavadour on August 11, 2012.  His pride and joy was his daughter Layla Marie.

BJ has always loved golf and maintained a 2 handicap.  On the last day of his life, he was doing something he loved, golfing in a tournament at Wildhorse.

BJ is survived by his loving wife Jessica, his daughter Layla Marie, father and mother Ben and Shirley (Tholberg) Winburn, brother Nick Winburn, mother and father-in law Tina Jackson& Gray Elliott and Mike Norvell & Beth Boulliard , three nieces, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  He will be forever missed.

A celebration of BJ’s life will be held Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at 10:00am at Wildhorse Hotel and Casino in the Cayuse Hall.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the BJ Winburn Memorial Fund at First Community Credit Union to help support Jessica and Layla.

What a great number of persons showed their support to honor BJ at yesterdays memorial! How wonderful that was! I didnt get to meet with you personally, or give you hugs, but please know you are in my thoughts and prayers daily, because of you both...he was so loved.

Bj was one of my good good freinds i looked up to him he tought me alot about life i think about him alot he was a happy man and could always put anyone in a good mood R.I.P i wish we coulda played one more game of 7 over many late nights cleaning carts with this guy and many great memories!
