Donna Michelle Harrington-Papol, passed away on November 15, 2012 at St. Marys hospital in Walla Walla, Washington.

Donna was born in Florissant, Missouri, and during the 1980’s, lived overseas for a period in Saudi Arabia with her loving father Dennis, who worked for the U.S. Army, mother Sondra, and sister Sheriee. Afterwards her loving family moved back to the states and Donna graduated from Sierra Vista High School in Arizona. She attended the University of Arizona where she met her loving husband Vincent.

She travelled in support of her husband to California, Georgia and New Mexico/Texas where they had a son together named Tony who is the love of their life. Her loving family travelled to Kansas and later to Pendleton, Oregon in 2002. During this period Donna earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Fort Hays State University in Kansas and completed all courses in the Masters Degree Program.

Donna remained a homemaker whose unwavering support of her loving son and husband made them reach their goals which could not have been achieved otherwise. She was involved in the community and supported The Grange, helped instruct martial arts classes at Blue Mountain Community College, and supported the Pendleton High School sports teams that included the baseball and football teams and was a parent contributor for the football team dinners. Donna volunteered in support of the cancer awareness booth during the Pendleton Round-UP as well. As a Third Degree Black Belt and Certified Instructor in the American Tae Kwon Do Association, she positively affected and inspired the lives of her students for nearly ten years raising them to even higher levels. Donna’s caring, unselfishness, and positive attitude are second to none.

Donna is the greatest wife and mother and is survived by her loving son and husband who were holding her hand and never left her side. She is waiting for us and we will carry on her legacy. Donna is our guardian angel now.

Viewing will be held on Monday, November 19, 2012, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Burns Mortuary of Pendleton, with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 PM, also at Burns Mortuary.  Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday morning, November 20th, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pendleton with a luncheon to follow in the Parish Hall.  Send condolences online at  Burns Mortuary of Pendleton is in charge of arrangements.

Our family is holding you in our thoughts as you journey without Donna. Please know we are there to help. Today the boys and I talked about the huge influence she was on the kids in tkd. She loved her classes, her students and Tae Kwon do. She was especially proud of you, Tony, and you, Vinnie. her love of family will be what I remember about her, and her lovely curly blond hair. Dear Vinnie and Tony- Once again, we are so incredibly sorry for your loss. Donna was the best! Ever since we've known you all, her main focus was her family. Even with all that she was going through, she kept that focus to the end. What an amazing testament of a wife's/mother's love! Please remember that we are here for you both, never hesitate to call.
With love- Teri, Scott and Chad McCoy

Tony & Vinnie, although we don't know one another we are neighbors of yours down the street. Our daughter told us of your Mom/wife's passing. We wanted you to know that we are praying for your family. Although we don't always get answers for what or why things happen in life, we do know that God sees every tear and feels our every hurt. Please know that He loves and cares for you, and His comfort and peace is there for you. As the days go by, may you fine the the presence of the Lord the strength that cares you through each and every moment of the day. God Bless you and both in the days ahead.

Vinnie & Tony,
You are in our thoughts and prayers always. Donna was a loving and giving person. She will be greatly missed in the Grange Family and the Community. She was always willing to help, even when she was fighting this dreadful disease. She was always there to encourage and root for Tony and the other players in whatever sport Tony was in. I always knew that I would see her smiling face and helping hand if needed. Just remember that you have many people here for you if you need anything, just call.
