Raymond Eugene Sallee, Sr. July 21 1945 - November 09, 2010 Raymond aged 65, died of lung cancer complicated by stroke at Regency at the Park, in Walla Walla, Washington, where he was undergoing treatment. In Lieu of flowers please make contributions in memory of Raymond to the American Cancer Society. He was born July 21, 1945 in The Dalles, Oregon, to Harley Addison Sallee and Mary Evelyn Fitzmorris. Raymond graduated from Pendleton High School in 1964. He attended BMCC, and after moving his family to Portland, Oregon in 1979 he attended Multnomah School of the Bible and Portland Community College. He married Julie Hickle on May 20, 2006, in Newberg. After 30 some years with Fred Meyer he retired from the Newberg store, July of 2010. Raymond is survived by; his wife Julie, children from his first marriage, daughters: Christina Long Robert of Portland, Oregon, Melissa Campbell of Camas, Washington, and son Raymond Jr. of Seaside, Oregon, fostered daughter Frances Gifford of Seattle, Washington, step-children: David Hickle Sue of Virginia, Mark Kiehn Cassie of Moses Lake, brother Richard Lyda of Pendleton, sister Rosemary Johnson of Pendleton, uncle Robert Sallee of Michigan, thirteen grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, stepfather Wallace Pound, and brother James Lyda.

Julie, how sorry we are to hear of Ray's passing. We are thinking of you and hope you are doing OK. If there's anything we can do for you from here, please let us know. We so enjoyed Ray --- what a great guy. Take care of yourself, and please keep in touch.
