Mrs. Kirk was born October 22, 1949 in Pendleton. She was the daughter of Leo and Ernestine Burke Crawford. She grew up in the Cayuse area and attended St. Andrews School and Pendleton High School. She married James Kirk on October 22, 1986 in Pacific, Washington. She was a homemaker and dedicated her time to her husband and her son. She enjoyed her travels to celebrations, Pow -Wows, Canoe Journey, Shaker Church, and the many birthday celebrations of her family and friends. She served as secretary for the 1910 Shaker Church, Umatilla Reservation and was a Boy Scout leader for Mission and Muckleshoot Troops. She was the ground crew leader for the Ha'y-Tillixman canoe family. She was a Happy Canyon Night Show participant since 1949. She is survived by: her husband, Jim Kirk and son Wacey Kirk: brothers, Jim and Robert Crawford: sister Marian Crawford: Nieces Clestine, Stacey, Lori, and Cecelia Crawford: Nephews Leo, Robert, and Joseph Crawford, all of Mission. She has three grand-Nieces and a grand-Nephew. She was preceded in her death by her parents and her grandparents.

To Carol's family, her husband, son and siblings, We send our heartfelt sympathy and condolences for the loss of our loved one. I hope that the photos we gave you will bring a smile to your faces. This is how I remember her, with a friendly smile and a hello for me. We are truly thankful for the opportunity to be a part of her life that she shared with everyone.
