My deepest regards and heartfelt sympathy to the family of such a precious soul! Rita's soul certainly quested always for more understanding of the heavenly realms--she surely has found it, but at what a loss for us, who so appreciated her ready laugh, her great appreciation and knowledge of the dramatic art world, and her gentle, honest self. She is indeed missed!

Sad to hear of Rita's passing. Will always smile remembering Rita in high school and her love of acting and making her own films. Like a beautiful rose on the vine that passes through to the other side of the fence, she will continue to bloom in our hearts.

Rita was one a one of a kind gem whom I was privileged to know and call a friend. I remember her saying that she couldn't wait to graduate and move away starting a whole new life after high school. True to her word she did just that. Her smile was genuine, her heart true, and I always admired her strength of character. Rita you are sorely missed, wish I had known you were back in Pendleton as we both share a love for the theater that has continued on throughout our adult life. May you rest iin God's arms until we meet again.

Rita has been on my mind these last few days and I was just telling my son today that I should try to get re-connected with her. Imagine my utter shock when I read the sad news of her passing. Rita and I worked together at KCET-TV in Los Angeles. She was genuinely one of the finest people I have ever known. So highly intelligent, artistic, and gifted in so many ways. She and I were very young single women together in Hollywood and did so many activities in those days. Because of Rita, I attended ballets for the first time and saw Mikhail Baryshnikov dance "Swan Lake". Rita made sure we did many interesting things, always with a cultural or artistic theme--we saw the King Tut exhibit at the Los Angeles Art Museum, more ballets, plays and art shows together. She was always the leader in our adventures. She took me to her acting teacher and we studied in acting classes together. Rita was a very good actress--very sensitive and always passionate in whatever she did. And Rita did everything really well. She was a wonderful friend and I'm very sorry we lost touch when I got married, moved to the suburbs and started a family. I knew she was moving back to Oregon and it was Hollywood's loss when she did. Rita had so much going for her on many different levels. Her passing is devastating. She was a first class person all the way and it's the saddest day for me to find out she's left this world, but Rita will always been in my heart. Sending my love and condolences to her family and friends.
