Jerry Stanley Ford

Jerry Stanley Ford of Pendleton, Oregon passed away Saturday, April 20, 2024 at St. Anthony Hospital, Pendleton, Oregon.

Jerry was born March 31, 1942 in The Dalles, Oregon, to Robert Edwin Ford and Theda Hope Williams. He attended The Dalles High School, Blue Mountain Community College and Eastern Oregon University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. Jerry married Susan C. Sanders October 6, 1967 in The Dalles, Oregon.

Jerry was a career Navy man serving for 20 years until his honorable discharge on March 21, 1980. He served as an Electrician’s Mate, Recruiter and Chief and was distinguished with the National Defense Service Medal, multiple Good Conduct Awards and multiple Letters of Appreciation, in addition to being a .45 caliber marksman. After his military service Jerry worked for Pendleton School District as a teacher. Jerry enjoyed fishing, archery, woodworking, western movies and spending time with his family and friends.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Hope Ford, and a brother, Stephen Allen Ford. He was survived by his wife of 56 years, Susan, daughter Kerri Hodges and husband Hoss of Hermiston, Trisha Drake and husband Jason of Pendleton and siblings Rob Ford and Jo L. Latimer both of Pendleton; grandchildren Kyle Hodges, Jordan Drake Barnes, Dylan Hodges, Rylee Braun, Madison Gear and Jarod Drake; and great Grandchildren Adrian Kunkle and Connor Braun.

A graveside service will be held at Three Mile Cemetery, The Dalles, Oregon Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 2pm.
