My deepest condolence to the family. Look to those blessings of wonderful years you had with her. She was one of the "sweetest girls" I knew in our high school. Always kind and caring. I have good memories of her, she was such a beauty.

Dear Bill and family,
As you know Joan and I renewed our long friendship 3 years ago after she had her stoke. Over the phone there were many hours of laughter , tears, rememberances, and just girl talk....we were friends since 5th grade , thats chalks up over 60 years. I will miss her so much, as I write this I know she and I had a very special friendship. What I appreciate about Joan is her sense of humor....we could crack each other up till tears were flowing. In fact , I had to stop her so many times because she was laughing so hard that I couldn't understand her.
Her one wish was to go to Ireland ,,,I'm so sorry she didn't get to go...but imagine she is there now, enjoying the lush landscapes, colorful people you can't understand with their thick brogue , lively music and lovely homes to see. I love Ireland, Scotland more. As I am Scotch Irish.....well I could go on and on....please greet me in heaven ,,,no more pain, tears or suffering. No more getting old. Now that would crack her up right now.

Love you ,God Bless you and your family in the days to come

Lynne

Doherty Family,
So sorry to hear about Joan. I remember the first time I saw her. It was at St. Williams for mass. This beautiful lady walked in and sat down with one of the handsomest little boy I had ever seen. (Timmy) I went home and told Skye and he said it must have been Joan Doherty. She was always so attractive and put together. And when she spoke of her family she did it with such pride.
She was a loving caring mom and wife. I know you will all miss her so much. We extend our deepest sympathy.

To the Doherty Family
I am so sorry for your loss. Joan was my high school friend. I was a year ahead of her and my late sister shared her class. Joan sent me a beautiful letter when my sister passed and I cherish it today. Fortunately, we have beautiful and fun memories and I'm thankful. She is at peace.

I was so sorry to hear of Joan's passing. I first met and visited with Joan at sporting events when Tim and my son were in high school! She was so pleasant to visit with and I absolutely loved her sense of humor and timeless beauty. She was a jewel!
