I worked with Gerry for 20 years. He was a very honest, hard working guy that loved numbers. We often shared stories about salmon fishing, he liked to tell me about his days fishing for spring chinook on the willammette River. We spent several days together on the columbia fishing for steelhead and on McKay reservoir fishing for bass. He loved his family and talked about his daughter and grand babies all the time. Gerry was strong as a horse, hard worker, and a friend. RIP my friend.

I first met Jerry at Anadromous Inc. on the dunes of the Columbia River near St.Helens, OR in late 1970's, where he managed the one and only commercial anadromous hatcheries on the River. It was a long day of spawning and the memory never faded of his great strength and commitment to the fish. Over the years I supplied him with fish health products for the Umatilla Chinook he cared so much. He was so kind. Rest in peace my good friend. Tom
