Millie, my sister Dora Sue Viall sent to me notice of your son's death, and I in turn send to you and your family my condolences and my sympathies at this sad time. The loss of a child is never easy, regardless of age or circumstances, and I know you'll miss him. My hope is that, in time, your memories will be only the happy ones. I also see that your mother passed earlier. I remember her fondly -- she was always very good to my family, to my mother especially. My mother thought your mother was a superior bus driver. Please relay my best wishes to all members of your family. Sincerely, Gregory Davidson

I didn't know your son, but my Grandson Ben Webb was friends with him and attended the funeral. My heart goes out to you in your anguish. It has stired memories of the loss of my own son June 29, 1989 and the funeral was held July 3. I carried him in my womb, nursed him at my breast, loved him, spanked him, cried when he went to the military, laughed with relief when he came home. I thought he was mine, but he never was, he always belonged to God or the universe, whatever one believes, and can be taken back any time. My Mom Cleta Walter was good friends with your Mom, Hilda. Be strong, your friends are with you.

Millie, You have been a part of our lives for about 30 years - lots of hair cuts and conversations. So the loss of Joe felt very personal and saddened all of us. I wish that there were words to ease your grief, but I have found the thing that helps the most is to know that people are thinking of you and care about you. You have that in abundance. We will remember Joe in our prayers. Bill and Darcy Johnson

We often go to break and comment on what a wonderful boy Joe was. We will miss him as a fellow employee and a just nice all around guy.
