Hilton Neal Townsend 76, a resident of Pendleton, Oregon passed away at his home on October 26, 2017. He was born to Neal and Lillian (Fitzsimmons) on July 4, 1941 in Perry, Maine. He attended Perry School and Shead High School. He lived in Perry, Maine; Eagle River, Alaska; and Pendleton, Oregon.

He married Diania (Lasher) Townsend. He was a cargo handler for Wien Air Alaska. He had his own small construction business in Maine. He later worked at Weston Junior High School.

He enjoyed restoring classic American cars from the 1950’s. He belonged to  The Teamsters. He was a US Military Veteran. He served in the Air Force from 1959-1963. He was a reserve from1963-1965.

He is survived by his wife Diania of Pendleton; children: Laura Townsend (Farzad Pirayesh) of LA Center, Washington;  Chris Townsend (Michael Bacon) of Bremerton, Washington; and Jamison Whitman (Staci) of Decatur, Alabama and grandchildren: Lily Pirayesh-Townsend; Tobin Pirayesh-Townsend and Jamilee Zack.

He was predeceased by his parents Neal and Lillian Townsend; his brother Howard Townsend; his nephew Neal Townsend; and niece Terry Wiygul.

Memorial donations may be made to OHSU Knight Cancer Institute 3303 SW Bond Ave, Portland, OR 97239. No services are planned at this time.

May Hilton rest in peace Diane. I will always remember him. I will miss seeing Hilton at Wild Horse.. My condolences Diane. Sincerely, Marsha.
