William John Moore

William John Moore died on March 19, 2025; he was 64. Bill was born June 19, 1960, in McCloud, California to Wilma Griffitts and Albert Moore.  Bill is survived by his wife Cherry Moore, sister-in-law Jeannie Hampton (who has lived under their care for many years), two sisters, Terry Harden (husband Kemper) and Alberta Deardorff (husband Craig), both of Tualatin, Oregon. Bill took great pride in being an uncle to his many nieces and nephews. Many family and friends loved Bill. We remember Bill as an extraordinary man in size, heart, sense of humor, generosity, and integrity. Bill was known as a talented creative writer, artist, computer programmer, chess player, hiking enthusiast and a hopeless romantic.  

Bill was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and a member of the Pendleton, Oregon, Congregation. Bill loved to make meaningful connections and have deep conversations.  Many expressed their appreciation for his willingness to listen and provide help when possible. Bill will be greatly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.  

Services will be held on May 3rd, 2025, at 2 pm at the Pendleton, Oregon, Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
