Timothy Wayne Shipton

Timothy Wayne Shipton passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 5, 2024, at the age of 71.

Tim was born to Thelma and Novia Shipton in Walla Walla WA., but spent most of his life in Pendleton OR. Tim was one of five Shipton siblings: brothers Steve, Mike, Bill, and sister Karen.

In 1984 he met the love of his life, DeeAnn Murr, and her son Randy. Tim had two boys Tom and Doug and niece Nichole. He was a very proud grandpa to Dustin, Dakota, Julie, and Cayman. He recently became a great-grandpa to Arrow and Tommy.

Tim was a very talented artist. He enjoyed drawing eccentric faces with shading and details that seemed to bring the characters to life and create a story. Tim’s creativity extended into woodworking. He built furniture and enjoyed projects on their craftsman-style home. Tim had a passion for music. He had an impressive collection of music CD’s and memorabilia. Some of his favorite artists were Willie Nelson, John Prine, and Jamey Johnson.

Tim lived a very simple life filled with good friends, family, great music, and good beer. Tim will be laid to rest at the Pilot Rock cemetery on October 12th.
