Shirley Ann Flemmer

Shriley Ann Flemmer, 93, of Pendleton, was born June 4, 1931 in Hazen, Mercer County, North Dakota to Olga Weisz Graumann and Rudolph E. Graumann.

She married Michael Flemmer Sr. on March 1, 1952. After their marriage, Shirley and Mike followed construction to 13 locations in 7 states until they settled in Rufus, Oregon in 1962, where she lived until she moved to her home at McKay Creek Assisted Living in Pendleton, Oregon in 2022.

While she lived in Rufus, she worked at Rufus School District and Serman County School District for over 30 years. She couldn’t be late for work since her house was across the street from the district office.

Shirley was a long-time member of Faith Lutheran Church, The Dalles, Oregon. She spent many retirement years volunteering doing work in the church office. Shirley also enjoyed traveling with her friends and family whenever she could.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister Marion Oliger.

Shirley was survived by sons, Michael Flemmer Jr. (Marcia), Roy Flemmer (Lola); grandsons Michael J. Flemmer (Haley), Jason M. Flemmer (Alisha); great grandsons Jack M. Flemmer, Theodore D. Flemmer; and granddaughters Laura Wheeler (Wally), and Heidi Rutz (Corey).
