San Yem, 95, of Pendleton, Oregon, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. He was born May 3, 1930, in Takeo, Cambodia.
San lived a long life marked by resilience, strength, and deep devotion to his family. He carried the traditions and values of his Cambodian heritage with him throughout his life and later made his home in Pendleton.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Yon Yan.
San is survived by his children: sons Phalla Yem, Vanndy Yem, and Sokha Yem, and daughter Phally Eekoopew.
A funeral service will be held on March 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Burns Mortuary in Pendleton, Oregon. Burial will follow at Olney Cemetery.
