Rex Waldron Jr., born on February 23, 1949, in Enumclaw, Washington, passed away at his residence on Suiste Lane in Ukiah, Oregon, at the age of 76 on November 6, 2025. He was an alumnus of Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy.
Mr. Waldron is survived by his wife, Joanie K. Suiste Waldron; his sisters, Heather and Mae; his daughter, Azura’dee Gaige; his son, Clint Gaige; grandchildren, Alexis Dunn and Lillian Thurston; and two great-grandchildren.
Throughout his life, Mr. Waldron pursued his passion for travel, visiting destinations such as South America, Italy, Greece, and Germany. A dedicated nature enthusiast, he enjoyed mountain excursions, fishing, and the study of botany. In his early career, he contributed to the establishment of several Chevron distribution companies serving regions between The Dalles, Oregon and Port Angeles, Washington. In later years, he was employed by the United States Postal Service, serving the communities of Ukiah and Pilot Rock, Oregon.
A private memorial service is planned for the summer of 2026.
