Pierson Pahl Obituary

With profound sadness, our families announce the passing of Pierson Pahl, who left this world far too soon on May 10, 2025, at the age of 32.

Pierson was born on May 10, 1993, in Pendleton, Oregon to Robert and Valerie Pahl. The youngest of five children, he brought a special light and energy to his family from the very beginning. His presence was a source of joy and laughter, and he shared a deep bond with each of his siblings.

Pierson was a rare and radiant soul — kind, intelligent, and quick-witted, with a mind as sharp as his heart was open. Gifted in so many ways, he had a deep love for math and science, a voracious appetite for reading, and a quiet passion for turning worn, tired houses into warm, beautiful homes. His creativity was matched by his craftsmanship —

He was always ready for a good board game or video game, bringing the same spark of strategy and laughter to those moments as he did to every part of his life. He accepted people just as they were, without judgment, and placed deep trust in those he loved. That love, especially for his family, was unconditional and unshakable. Pierson loved his family with quiet strength, unwavering devotion, and always with a hug that was warm, strong and full of love.

Pierson’s absence leaves a space that words alone cannot fill. But his spirit lives on in every life he touched, every room he restored, and every story we carry forward.

This young man loved to travel—his adventurous spirit took him across the globe, filling his passport with stamps and his heart with unforgettable memories. From the vibrant culture of Mexico to the serene beaches of Belize, the wild beauty of Madagascar, the rich traditions of Japan and Thailand, and the breathtaking landscapes of Ecuador, Pierson embraced every journey with wonder, joy, and an open heart.

To honor Pierson’s deep love of learning and his endlessly curious spirit, a memorial scholarship is being established in his name to help students pursue their dreams through education and travel. Contributions may be made to The Pierson Pahl Kind Heart Bright Mind Scholarship, BMCC Foundation, 2411 NW Carden Ave., Pendleton, Oregon 97801, 541-278-5775.

Pierson is survived by his parents, Robert Pahl (Tamara) and Valerie Snow (Richard); his brothers Cameron Pahl, Griffin Pahl, Darren Pahl (Chelsa), and sisters Presley Pahl (Brianne Sherman), Tenley Alderson, Paisley Szumski (Noah); his maternal grandparents, Calista Hutchinson Berg, in Helix, and Jerry Crimins in Milwaukie. Pierson leaves behind a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and a niece. Pierson had countless friends who were drawn to his generous heart, sharp wit, and unshakeable loyalty. His friendships were marked by deep trust, laughter, and steadfast support. He was the kind of friend everyone hopes to have—and the kind no one ever forgets.

The world feels dimmer without him, and he will be missed beyond measure by those who loved him most.

Farewell for now, dear Pierson. Rest well.
