Patsy Lee (Skoubo) Hayzlett, passed away September 8, 2024. She was born January 18, 1955 in Pendleton, Oregon to Gunnar A. Skoubo (1928-2005) and Carolyn Jean (Sicard) Skoubo (1931-2018), both of Boardman, Oregon.
Patsy graduated from Riverside High School in Boardman, Oregon in 1973. After graduation, she started working for Union Pacific Railroad in Hermiston, Oregon. The Railroad sent her to work in Omaha, Nebraska. After working for the railroad, Patsy moved to Portland, Oregon, where she met Jeff. They were later married at the home of Patsy’s mother in Boardman, Oregon on March 1, 1986. Patsy and Jeff later moved back to Boardman to raise their family. Patsy worked for years as a computer specialist at several of the local businesses in Boardman and Hermiston before starting her own business at home in 1998. In 2006, Patsy and Jeff moved to Pendleton to be closer to their daughter while she attended college. Like her sisters, Patsy had many inherited medical conditions, including diabetes, which complicated healing after surgeries and later led to the amputation of her left leg in March of 2024. Patsy passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her husband and children on September 8, 2024. Her death was caused by chronic infections exacerbated by various surgeries.
Patsy is preceded in death by her parents, Gunnar and Carolyn. She is survived by her husband, Jeffery Luallen Hayzlett of Pendleton. Children: Andrea Michelle (Hayzlett) Goodman and Les Goodman (Moses Lake, WA), Christopher Luallen Hayzlett (Pendleton). Grandchild: Devon Lee Dieter (Moses Lake, WA) Step-Grandchildren: Aaron James Goodman, Alexis Rose Goodman and Riggs Michael Goodman, all of Moses Lake, WA.
The family will hold a celebration of life, date & location TBD.
