Lisa Michelle Spain

We had to say goodbye to our beautiful mother Lisa M Spain, 61 on September 29, 2023.  Lisa passed away peacefully listening to her records as she loved to do. Lisa Michelle Spain was born July 15, 1962 to Carl and Betsy (Gravley) Spain in John Day Oregon.

She graduated in 1980 from Pendleton High School in Pendleton, Oregon. In March of 1985, she welcomed her son Jacob and in June of 1989 her oldest daughter Christina. In June 1991, she married Ron Jakabosky, and he adopted Christi then together they had another daughter Megan in September of 1994. They would later divorce.

She worked for Skippers, Bank of the West and several locations here in town. She had a smile that would light up a room, and a laugh so contagious you couldn’t help but join her. Lisa was always able to make friends with her bubbly outgoing personality and kind heart.

Her children and grandbabies were the light of her life.

She is survived by her children; Jacob, Christi, and Megan and her precious grandchildren; Kadin, Greyson, and Gavin.  Sisters, Theresa and Cathy Spain and brothers, Mike and Bill and Denise Spain as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and her Aunt Sylvia in California.

She is preceded in death by her parents Carl and Betsy.

Always remembered and never forgotten

She was a beloved mother, grandma, sister and friend. Celebration of life service will be on October 14, 2023 at the Eagles Lodge on Main St in Pendleton Oregon at 1:00 pm.  Burns Mortuary of Pendleton was in charge of arrangements.
