Kerri Swenson Obituary

Join us in celebrating our love for Kerri on Saturday March 11, 2023 10:00 a.m. at the PHS Auditorium.

Kerri Jo Swenson (Taillon) of Pendleton, Oregon passed away peacefully on February 15th, 2023 at her home, surrounded by her loved ones. Kerri was a warrior in her fight with pancreatic cancer.

Kerri was born in Pendleton, Oregon on August 25th, 1967 to Jim and Chris Swenson. Kerri grew up and went to school in Pendleton, then graduated from Walla Walla High School. After graduation, Kerri moved to Montana where she had her precious son Derryck. She later returned to Pendleton to settle down and raise her family. Kerri cared for her family members and other sick friends with love and kindness!

Kerri met Scott Taillon in 1989. They raised Derryck together and later married in October 2020.

Kerri was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, niece, G-Ma, and Aunt Kerrit. She was a true and gracious friend to us ALL.

Kerri leaves behind her loving husband Scott Taillon of Pendleton; mom, Chris Warner Swenson of Newcastle; dad, Jim (Debbie) Swenson of Pilot Rock; son, Derryck (Sarah) Swenson; grandsons, Samuel, Emmett, and Logan of Stanwood; brother, Kyle Swenson and niece Clara of Arlington; sister Jamie (Bobby) Rabb; nephew Branson, and baby niece RRR of Athena; and uncle, Jack (Kathy) Swenson of Pendleton.

Kerri is preceded in death by her grandparents, Darel & Dora Jean Swenson of Pendleton; Al & Berniece Warner and Aunt Debbie of Washington.

Kerri had several jobs in Pendleton, which put her in the lives of many.

Kerri made lasting connections everywhere she worked, but nowhere more than in our Pendleton School District. Kerri left her mark in our community through her love of children and her sense of friendship.  Kerri was the bright spot in so many students' lives and the calming presence when anyone needed her. Kerri touched the lives of so many students over her years and made countless friends and co-workers along the way. Kerri lit up the room with her smile and her kindness stretched to infinity.

Kerri, you leave a deep hole in our hearts, but also a beautiful legacy. Until we meet again, my friend.
