Jack Edmiston Obituary

Jack Lee Edmiston of Adams was born August 14, 1949, in Pendleton, Oregon, to Leonard Edmiston and Mildred Helton. He passed away at Kadlec Hospital with his loving wife Elsa Edmiston by his side on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at the age of 73.

Jack moved to Adams, Oregon as a teenager and graduated from Weston-McEwen High School in 1967.  After graduation he joined the US Navy and proudly served his country for 7 years.  During his time in the Navy he met the love of his life Alejandra (Elsa) Lemen Edmiston.  They married in the Philippines and had 3 sons (Allen, Jonathan, Jackie) and a daughter (Aiza).  Jack and Elsa moved from the Philippine’s to Adams, Oregon in 1975 where he happily lived for the remainder of his life with his family.

Jack worked in various jobs throughout his life.  He was proudest of the business him and his brother Mike owned AAA Janitorial Services.  He later worked at Rocky Mountain Colby Plastic as an Assistant Production Manager for 25 years.

Jack was an avid sportsman that enjoyed playing baseball in his younger years.  Due to the love of baseball he enjoyed coaching his 3 sons Little League teams throughout their childhood.  He was a huge fan of the Oregon Ducks, Oregon Beavers and Seattle Seahawks. 

Jacks hobbies where fishing, going to the casino, spending time with family and friends.  He was a member of the Eastern Oregon Philippine American Community (EOPAC).  Him and his wife Elsa were active members until his passing.

He is survived by his wife Alejandra (Elsa); son and family, Jonathan and Kathleen – Nika, KariAnn, Rod, Osias, Iva, Marcellus and Rhonda, son and family Jackie Jr. and Christine - Makaysia, Makiah, Eliza, Araya, Miracle, Eagle, and Kristen. Daughter and family Aiza and Ermel - Emaiza and Jack Lourence Buenaobra Edmiston.  Great Grandchildren – Aya, Rhett, RJ, Brynn, Corey, Allen, Jonathan, Majors and Dominque. He was also survived by his sister Shirley Sterling. 

He was preceded in death by his late parents, Mildred Powers Helton and Leonard Edmiston.  Son Allen Edmiston, Brothers Steven and Mike Edmiston and Sister Terri Sam Edmiston.

Jack lived a full and happy life with his wife Elsa by his side for 56 years.  All of those who loved him dearly will never forget his smile, wit, charm and undying love for his wife, family and friends. Burns Mortuary of Pendleton was in charge of funeral arrangements.
