Fred Greene, age 94, passed away on February 19, 2025, in Pendleton, Oregon. Born January 14, 1931, in Kotzebue, Alaska. Fred served honorably in the army, dedicating himself to his country. Following his military service, he embarked on a career as a Federal Aviation Administration Mechanic, a career that highlighted his meticulous nature and commitment to safety. Fred was a man of deep faith, involved in the Assembly God church of Pilot Rock, Oregon. His patriotic spirit was complimented by his joyful, loving, and giving nature. He was a respected member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars. His hobbies included hunting and Seine Fishing activities through which he contributed significantly to the community elders showcasing his giving spirit. He is survived by his daughter Deborah (Greene) Carter, son in law Curtis Carter, grandchildren Leon Presley, Sommer Flick, Colton Greene, Chyenne Carter, and Kyler Carter. Great grandchildren, Raymond, Auzren, Karston, Hayden, Lily, Carter and Brayen. Fred was preceded in death by his father Elmer T. Greene, his mother Cary (Luther) Greene. His son Warren Greene and his siblings Elmer, Charlie, Josie, Hilda, Hanna, and Frieda. A service to honor Fred’s life will be held Graveside at Pilot Rock Cemetery on Saturday March 15, 2025, at 11:00 am. Those wishing to honor Fred’s memory can reflect on his life and the joy he brought to others.
