Emma Ruth (Smith) Linfoot passed away on January 28, 2026. She was born on March 14, 1948, in Crane, Missouri, to Elizabeth Irene Eutsler and James Burton Smith Sr. She was the youngest of eleven children.
As a child, Emma moved with her family from Missouri to Pendleton, where she spent much of her life building strong roots in her community, church, and family.
Emma was a woman of deep faith who loved Jesus wholeheartedly. She was a devoted member of Bethel Church and found great joy in worship, singing, and Christian music. Her faith guided her life and was evident in the love and kindness she showed to everyone around her.
Family was at the heart of Emma’s life. She is survived by her daughter, Kenola Linfoot; her grandsons, Khrysstopher, Khamaron, Anthony, and Johnathon; and her great-grandchildren, Andrei, Aavyn, Leonna, Aaliyah, Mariah, Melina, Keyoni, Legend, and Everlyn. She is also survived by her brothers, Randy Smith, Allen Smith, and Chet Smith, as well as multiple nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Emma was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Mildred, Opal, Esther, Jim, Jerry, Charles, and Bobby.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, February 5th, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 5th, at Olney Cemetery.
Emma will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her love of music and worship, and her unwavering devotion to her family and her Savior. Though she will be deeply missed, her family takes comfort in knowing she is now at peace, rejoicing in the presence of the Lord she faithfully served.
