Daniel B. Rogers, 50 of Pendleton, died on Friday, July 14, 2023 of lung disease in Kennewick, Washington. He was born on August 18, 1972 to Rosemary Rogers and Ronald Rogers, MD in Hollywood, California. Dan spent his childhood in Southern California, and then moved with his family to Kentucky in 1985. He graduated from Trinity High School in Louisville, KY in 1991. Dan worked as a wood worker in the cabinet industry, and he ran a private business as a furniture maker. As his lung disease progressed, he retired from woodworking, and he transitioned into programming computer games. He was an avid chess player, and also was passionate about politics and world events. In his final years, he enjoyed living in the Florida Keys, and later near his sister in Oregon.
Dan is survived by his dear mother, Rosemary Rogers, and beloved sister, Aimee Rogers, MD. He is also survived by siblings from a previous marriage, Ronald Rogers, Jr., Susan Linton, Rebecca Rice, and David Rogers, as well as his Uncle "Chip" Frank Scanlon, Aunt Nobuko, and cousins Frank Akio Scanlon, Fumika Harrison, and Kilara Scanlon. He was preceded in death by his cherished grandparents Frank and Betty Scanlon. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Lung Association. Burns Mortuary of Pendleton is in charge of arrangements.
