Craig Stephen Howard
June 5, 2025 – Age 63
Craig Stephen Howard, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on June 5, 2025, at the age of 63. Born in Heppner, Oregon, to Ken and Carolyn Howard, Craig was a man whose love for his family and life was unmatched.
Craig was devoted to the love of his life, Beverly Charlton. Together, they built a life full of memories, love, and laughter. He leaves behind his children, Bradley, Brandy (Ken), Cassie (Jacob), and Rebecca (Nate), 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandson and many others who just called him Paw, along with a legacy of joy and love for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him more happiness than words can express.
An avid lover of the outdoors, Craig had a deep appreciation for nature. Whether it was camping, fishing (even when his brand new fishing pole found its way to the bottom of the lake), or cruising the mountains in search of mushrooms or huckleberries, Craig’s enthusiasm for life was contagious. He was always willing to take anyone along for the ride, sharing his love for the simple joys of the world around him.
Craig also had a quiet, secret love for coloring, a hobby that brought him peace and allowed him to unwind in a way only he could. His ability to find joy in the little things will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Above all, Craig’s family was his heart and soul. He was a devoted Paw, father, brother, son, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and his legacy of love, kindness, and laughter will live on in them forever.
In honoring Craig’s memory, his family asks that you remember his warm heart, his infectious laugh, and the way he could always make life feel a little brighter.
He is survived by his siblings, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many dear friends who were like family. He was preceeded in death by his partner Beverly and his parents. A private family service will be held to celebrate his life.
