Chase Ammons Obituary

Chase L. Ammons, 36 was born on May 19, 1986 to Patricia (Smith) and David Ammons in Hermiston, OR.  Chase attended Highland Hills and Sunset Elementary, Sandstone Middle School and then graduated from Hermiston High School in 2004.  Chase was active in FFA, Baseball and Track. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors.

After high school Chase worked a variety of jobs, from caring for animals at the Country Animal Hospital to caring for clients at the Eastern Oregon Trainer Center as a Habilitative Training Technician.  Thereafter Chase worked along side his dad at the family business Eastern Oregon Environmental Recovery, and that jumpstarted his career operating heavy equipment which opened up other construction opportunities where he continued gaining experience and broadening his horizon’s working with Srec Recovery, Hanging Rock Construction and fighting wildfires.

Chase enjoyed hunting, loved fishing, riding 4 wheelers and snowboarding. But his real passion was spending time with family, brothers from other mothers (friends) and his two children Axston Lee 8 and Coy Kurtis 6, whom he absolutely adored and proclaimed to be his greatest accomplishments in life.

Chase is survived by his two sons Axston Lee Ammons & Coy Kurtis Ammons both of Lewiston, Id. Chase is also survived by his parents Patricia and David Ammons of Pendleton, Or., sister Lacey Ammons Slater, brother-in-Law Travis Slater, and nephew Logan Slater (Logie bear) of Touche, Wa. And several aunts, uncles and cousins.)

Chase is preceded in death by grandparents Connie & Bob Smith of Hermiston, Or., Grandparents Joyce & Virgil Ammons of Milton Freewater, Or. Aunts Cheryl Smith Brown & Amber Franks, Uncles Ron Smith & Bob Murphy and two cousins Shary Peake & Danny Murphy.
