Beatta "Dolly" Heer Obituary

Beatta Lorrene (Dolly) Heer passed away peacefully on July 25, 2024 in Umatilla, OR at the age of 92.

Dolly was born on November 29, 1931 in Linton, ND to the parents of Ferdinand and Christine Maier.  She was the youngest of 5 brothers and 2 sisters. She was given the name Dolly by her siblings because she looked like a doll when she was born. Dolly was raised on a wheat and cattle farm owned by her parents and attended Linton High School.  Dolly met her husband, Kenneth Heer of Linton, ND, and they were married June 23, 1954.

Dolly and Kenny eventually moved from Linton, ND to Kennewick, WA and then settled in Pendleton, OR, where Kenny started a business called Store Y'R Stuff, a mini-storage facility. Dolly helped Kenny with the busy business as much as she wanted. Dolly's love was her home.  Her home and family were her life.  She enjoyed keeping the home in tiptop condition and making sure her yard was in pristine condition, too.   You could always see her cooking up delicious meals for her family, friends, and relatives in her bright and sunny kitchen. Dolly will be deeply missed.

Dolly and Kenny maintained a loving and supportive marriage for 67 years. They were hardworking North Dakota people, never shying away from a challenge.

Dolly is preceded in death by her daughter, Pandora Kris and her son, Timothy Bart. Kenny passed away on December 6, 2023, 8 months before Dolly did.  They are now back together in Heaven.

She is survived by her son Toby Kenneth of Pendleton and her daughter Kristi Lynn Avery of Umatilla.

A memorial service is planned at Burns Mortuary on Monday, August 5, 2024 at 1 pm.
