Barry A. Reidt, Jr. - a resident of Pendleton, died Thursday, January 20, 2011 in a Pendleton Hospital. He was 51 years old.
A celebration of life memorial service will be conducted Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. in the Burns Mortuary Chapel in Pendleton. Mr. Reidt was born April 18, 1959 in Stockton, California. He was the son of Barry A. and Lucretia J. Snyder Reidt. He was raised and educated in Southern and Northern California and graduated from Alhambra High School in Martinez, California in 1978. After his schooling, he served his country in the United States Navy. After his discharge he returned to California where he worked in the San Francisco Bay area. In 1991 he moved to Redding, California, and then to the Hermiston and Stanfield, Oregon, area in 1994. He later moved to Pendleton. He had worked at carpentry and various other jobs in our area.
He greatly enjoyed animals and also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a past member of the Eagles Lodge of Pendleton.
He is survived by his father Barry A. Reidt Sr. of Pendleton, a son Jimmy Cornelius of Martinez, California, a sister Juanita Reidt of Pendleton, two half-brothers Jeffery and David Whaley, both of Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his mother.
