I met Tony and Jess, in the early 80's thru my job.  Tony once told me "you can always tell a New Yorker, but you can't tell him much." That always comes to mind when I think of him. Over the years, we have lost touch, but I do remember he was quick witted and generous.

Dear Jess I haven’t lived in Pendleton for years but sure remember Tony and did speak to him from time to time when i visited my folks across the street. I always talked of you and he would respond with a sparkle in his eye, smile and say oh she’s kik’n around the country. He loved you very much. Take care hope I see you someday while I’m kik’n around the country

Jess, I am sorry to hear about your Dad.  I have very fond memories of us and your Dad in grade school.  We had fun exploring at your house down at the river.  Tony was a great Dad.  I haven't seen you in years but you are in my thoughts.  Hope you are doing well.

To Tony’s family and daughter, my deepest condolences.  I went to Mercy High School with Tony and had the opportunity to speak with him at length at our 40th High School Reunion.  He loved his daughter very much and was very proud of her.  He was a wonderful friend and I was very sorry to hear of his passing.  I’m so sorry for your loss.  Rest In Peace my friend.

I met Tony in 2011 and developed a friendship over the years. He loved his daughter, Jes, he was opinionated; he was his own advocate; loved to garden; made some good eggplant parmesan; many conversations about life in general with some humor. Sadden to hear of his passing. May you rest in Peace Tony Moreno; Forever loved; Never forgotten.
