Another dear friend passed away,
got that sad news today.
Beverly had lived across the street from us
and we never had a fuss.
As long as we have lived here 46 years across the street,
living with Beverly in the neighborhood was neat.
Beverly and I used to go to the Tri Cities to shop and eat,
for us that was quite a treat.
Miss going to sit on her front porch and talking
and we used to even go walking.
When we moved on this street her last daughter was small
and we didn’t have any kids at all.
Oh how the neighborhood has changed since then
the place was full of children back when.
Now it’s mostly retired folks like us.
No fuss, no muss.
Beverly will be missed by all
I know I’ve missed hearing her call.
About a year ago she moved down Eugene way
with her son and family to stay.
Sadly that is where she passed away.
May she rest in peace is what I say
And in my prayers for her I continue to pray.
My thoughts go out to her family dear
and I know they will all soon be here.

Dear sweet Beverly was such a treasure.  She use to babysit my kids when they were young and they adored her.  I have thought of her often and I know she will be greatly missed by her friends and family.

Multiples of colorful, fragrant "Peace" Roses are in full bloom for you my beloved Mother at Heaven's Gate.
(We have been admiring beautiful roses all summer. This poem tells us that a rose can make us mindful of the Creator of the rose.)

It is only a tiny rosebud,
a flower of God's design,
But I cannot unfold the petals
With these clumsy hands of mine.

The secret of unfolding flowers
is not know to such as I,
The flower God opens so sweetly
in my hands would fade and die.

If I cannot unfold a rosebud,
this flower of God's design,
then how can I think I have wisdom
to unfold this life of mine?

So I'll trust Him for his leading
each moment of every day,
and I'll look to Him for His guidance
each step of the pilgrim way.

For the pathway that lies before me
My Heavenly Father knows;
I'll trust Him to unfold the moments
just as He unfolds the rose.

As sung by Elvis Presley,
Soon we'll come to the end of life's journey
And perhaps never meet anymore
Till we gather in heaven's bright city
Far away on that beautiful shore.
If we never meet again this side of heaven
As we struggle through this world and its strife
There's another meeting place somewhere in Heaven
By the side of the river of life
Where the charming roses bloom forever
And where separations come no more
If we never meet again this side of Heaven
I will meet you on that beautiful shore.

I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength. I stand and watch her until at length she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.

Then someone at my side says: "There, she is gone!"

"Gone where?"

Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side and she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port.

Her diminished size is in me, not in her. And just at the moment when someone at my side says: "There, she is gone!" There are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout:
"Here she comes!"

And that is dying.
