Steven Craig was a cousin to my now late grandmother, Veronica Tias, she enjoyed many smoke breaks and conversations with him over the years. He was respected elder of the family and we be very missed by his family and his friends. I personally will miss his visits as he was always a kind man and never asked for much except for rides to town on occasion. He told many stories but was a quiet man who wasn't afraid to walk for miles. I often saw him on walks on my travels to work or driving my late grandmother or mother when I was forced from my job by the CTUIR just prior to my being declared disabled. We as a CTUIR must respect our dear departed Elder too many of our Elders have been dying over the last few years. I pray that his surviving wife, daughter and brothers and sisters are given comfort in this time of great loss and that God watches over them all.

Today I would like to tell Steve's family what a wonderful person he was. I visited Steve prior to his passing. I told him I wished he wasn't in pain and hoped he would be well soon. I will miss my friend and always remember his kind, gentle spirit.
