James “Terry” Lawhead was born March 10th 1950 in Pendleton, Or. to Bonda (Peterson) Lawhead and James Leonard Lawhead who preceded him in death.  He passed away Sunday March 24th 2019.

He is survived by his sister Sonja Lawhead Jessen, Brother Roger Lawhead, daughters Dawn Alderman, Trista Still, & Chelsi Cate.  As well as 8 grandchildren and numerous close relatives.

Terry was a logger and a mechanic.  He also worked as a truck driver and mechanic on the building of the Alaskan Pipeline.  Terry was a great story teller and loved to be in the woods.  He enjoyed hunting and camping with friends and family.  Terry also had a great love for animals especially dogs which he often trained to do many tricks.    He was a stranger to no-one and a great friend to many, and will be greatly missed.

Mike and I both went to school with Terry. Mike remembers him in Ukiah in about 1963. He was in my class, graduated the same year 1968. Mike went to visit with him in January, and they had a good visit. Our sincere sympathy to the family.

Dearest Trista,
Your father was fortunate to have you as his daughter. I remember how much you did for him and that at the same time you were working full-time and raising a family. I'm so sorry for your family's loss. Take care and hope to see you one of these days. Marilyn
