Cecelia Leona Kollman went to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 6, 2018 in Heppner, Oregon. She was born on May 16, 1921 in Claresholm, Alberta Canada to Peter and Mary Conrad.

In 1924 when she was three years old the family moved to Alameda, California where she went to school from kindergarten through fifth grade. She attended fifth through ninth grade in Bosburg, Washington.

On July 20, 1942 she married Kenneth “Jim” Kollman in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. They had three daughters Carole, Joy, and Karen.

She lived in Ukiah, Oregon from 1944 to 1969 and worked in the Ukiah School Cafeteria from 1954-1969 and later after her husband passed in 1967 she worked for Traeger’s in Seattle, Washington in 1969-1976, Pendleton Community Hospital and St. Anthony Hospital from 1977-1993. She also briefly lived in Athol, Idaho, Pilot Rock, and Heppner, Oregon.

Both her parents and grandparents were of German descent. Naturalization took place on December 5, 1949. However, her DNA revealed Italian, Scandinavian and Eastern European.

She volunteered for the Foster Grandparent Program from 1995-2008. She was a lifetime member of the Eagles Auxiliary.  She loved to read all genres. She was an avid crossword puzzle expert. She enjoyed all kinds of crafts including copper tooling, ceramics, and jewelry. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. One of her lifetime achievements was receiving her GED in May of 1990.

She is survived by two daughters: Carole Picard of Pilot Rock, Or, and Karen Phegley of Heppner, Or; Grandchildren: Heather Garrett (Duane), Patrick Picard (Stephanie), Hilary Myers (Dale), Brian Kollman (Amy); 14 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, daughter Joy, 1 brother, 7 sisters and 1 great great grandson.

There will be a Graveside Service at Olney Cemetery on Friday, July 13, 2018 at 11:00 am. There will be a celebration of life immediately following the Service at the Eagles Lodge. All are welcome to attend.

So sorry for your loss of your Mother, Grandmother, Aunt ,friend, etc. I took care of Joy and I know it was difficult for you all but she and Joy will be together again.

So sad learning of Cecelia's passing. She was a very dear person and I have many fond memories of her during my days at Ukiah. Condolences to all the family.
