I will miss you John: you were most welcoming to me when I first joined city council. I was flattered to be asked to speak at Foster Grandparents as a physician as well as a councilor. It has been my pleasure to know and work with you over the years.

I am one of the Foster Grandparents that worked with John. He was great at guiding and teaching us to do the best with our "kids". Because of his leadership children and seniors in our county have done so much better.
We learned of his passing in our monthly staff meeting Monday morning. We celebrated his life with lots of story and thank you's. He will be missed so much.

John devoted his life to service. I worked with John as one of the founding members of the CAPECO Board of Directors. John was always the advocate for those less fortunate than ourselves and was a dedicated Board member who was always available as needed. His contributions will be honored for years to come and his dedication to area Seniors will never be forgotten.
Rest in peace.

Dear Patsy - We are so very sorry to hear of John's sudden passing. John truly was a member of our family, we have known him all of our lives. His parents were best friends with our parents. I could always see so much of John's Dad Fred in him - enthusiastic, intelligent, always challenging us to live up to our potential and seize life with gusto. John's mother Mary was always shining through his big loving heart and deep concern for the entire human race. So many wonderful memories with both of you - we cherish you as a member of our family as well. Please know we love you so very much and we pray that you will have peace in the knowledge of John's big life, so well lived and loved. His devotion to you was palpable - such great love and tenderness. God bless you dear, we love you! Dave & Laurie

I know all of the FGP/SC will miss John for a long time. He was always there when ever a problem came up with our jobs. He knew excatly how to solve what ever problem arose. It was such a shock when we went to our last meeting and heard that John wasn't going to be there. The St Anthoney's minister had an impromptu memeorial service for John. We all liked John a lot. He will be missed.
