Scott “Scotty” “Papa” Leon Goodman (62) of Pilot Rock died in Pendleton on Wednesday, February 1, 2017.

At his request no services will be held at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. 

Scott was born April 15, 1954 in Memphis, Tennessee, to Ivan Goodman and Dorothy Vaughn. He lived in Milton-Freewater, OR; Shasta, CA; Dallesport, WA; and just recently Pilot Rock, OR.

He graduated from Pilot Rock High School in 1972. He graduated from Blue Mountain Community College in 1998 earning a degree in electrical engineering. He worked for the Army Corp of Engineers

He married Cindy L. Goodman on September 6, 1975. They were married for 41 years.

He enjoyed fishing, archery hunting, and was an avid gun collector.

He is survived by his wife Cindy L. Goodman of Pilot Rock, OR; daughters: Penny (spouse Jason) Gibbs of Pilot Rock, OR; Amy Evers (life partner Brandie Perry) of The Dalles, OR; brothers: Brian Goodman of College Place, WA; Mark (Linda) Goodman of Union, OR; and two grandchildren: Rhyanne Oates and Coley Gibbs.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ivan and Dorothy Goodman.

A Celebration of Life Remembrance gathering will be held Friday, February 10th at 11:00 am at the Pilot Rock Community Center.  Our family would feel blessed to share a meal and memories with you all on this day.

Cindy, Penny, Amy and rest of the family,
Have known Scott before he and Cindy were even married, his laugh and smiling face made me smile and laugh, am so sorry for your loss Cindy there will never be another one like Scott. Prayers to all of you that God will give you comfort and peace.
