To the Bronson Family:
My love and prayers are sent your way.
Your family is so well known for your ability to taking care of horses and your outstanding ability to ride horses. "Punky" was an excellent example of horsemanship.
I imagine that he will be with all those who have already gone to heaven who watched him as a child in the Pendleton Round-Up horse races; winning the horse race with Bronson, Bronson, and Bronson.
Punky was a kind and compassionate man. He loved to show off his darling children.
He will always be in my heart. And all of you will be in mine too.
May he carry you through this difficult time of loss.
God Bless, Peggy Bronson

I grew up with Vernon (Punky) Bronson and many of his family in Pendleton, Oregon. Four brothers, Ronald, Wendell, Bryson, and now Vernon have all succumbed death in just one family. So young and their lives were short lived, but they all lived freely and with great spirits...They all are in my prayers and will be missed by many friends and family abroad, especially around the reservation near Pendleton. Survivors of Punky's siblings are his sister Lawanda Bronson and Richard Bronson. Take care ya all and R.I.P. my dear freind.

We are so sorry to hear the sad news that Punky has passed away this week. When we were racing horses Punky & Wendell both rode for us. We enjoyed those two boys with such wonderful knowledge of handling our race horses. Our Quarter Mare won or placed everytime they rode her. Punky & Wendell were about the same age as our two daughters, Carla & Bobbi & they had such a wonderful friendship ever since then. When Punky would come to Prineville for the races we would always visit with him. Sorry we couldn't make it to the service but weather just wasn't in our favor. Our Love & Sympathy to All of Punky's Family. We Loved Both of Those Boys !! Our Love Jim, Betty, Carla & the Late Bobbi Woodward, RIDERS UP--------THERE THEY GO !!!!!
