Linda Ruth Blanchet

August 14, 1951 – July 8, 2016

Linda Ruth Blanchet – a Pendleton resident passed away Friday evening, July 8, 2016, at her home.  She was 64 years old.

A funeral service will be held Friday, July 15, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Burns Mortuary of Pendleton Chapel.  Following the service a celebration of life will be held at the Vert Club Room, 345 SW 4th Street.  A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday at Olney Cemetery in Pendleton.  Sign the online condolence book at  Arrangements are pending with Burns Mortuary of Pendleton.

She was born August 14, 1951, in Portland, Oregon, to Ruth (Howe) Wyatt and Charles Wyatt Jr.  She was raised in Beaverton, Oregon, until the 8th grade when the family moved to Pendleton, Oregon, where she attended Helen McCune Jr. High School and Pendleton High School.  She married John Larry Blanchet.  The couple had five children and later divorced.  Linda raised her five children, coached little league and was a 4-H Club Leader.  She had worked at Short-Stop Mini Mart, Albertson’s Grocery, Mission Market, and Keystone RV, before retirement.

She is survived by her children: Katy Childers & husband Bryan of Bend, OR; Amy Blanchet of Pendleton, OR; Suzanna Clark & husband Jeff of Pendleton, OR; Roseanne Blanchet & fiancé Charles Garner of Pendleton, OR; and John Blanchet & wife Kristin of Pendleton, OR; her brother Chuck Wyatt & wife Ronda of East Wenatchee, WA; ten grandchildren and twenty-two nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents Charles & Ruth Wyatt.
