Lester Ellison Loftis – a resident of Pendleton, passed away Sunday morning, January 3, 2016, at his home.  He was 75 years old. 

As per his request no service is planned at this time.  There may be a Celebration of Life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Lester Loftis may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice, and sent in care of Burns Mortuary of Pendleton, PO Box 489, Pendleton, OR 97801.  Sign the online condolence book at www.BurnsMortuary.com  Burns Mortuary of Pendleton handled arrangements. 

Lester was born July 28, 1940, in Klamath Falls, Oregon, to Earl and Donna Loftis.

He owned and operated a Dump Trucking Business.

He is survived by his wife Elaine Loftis of Pendleton, daughters: Robyn Cummings & son-in-law John, and Justin Leeper, step-children: Dan & Haley Morris, Jeff Morris & Marcy Osborn, Lori & Nate Hamilton, grandchildren: Amanda & Dusty Lee, Drew, Morgan, Jake and Justin Morris, Marissa Halsey, and Johnathon Cummings, great-grandchildren Traven and Diesyl Lee, brother Eldon Loftis & wife Marla, as well as several nieces and nephews, and many friends.

My heart hurts for all of you. I am so glad I got the chance to visit you both when you stopped into the Eagles with Dan and Haley. You guys were the highlight of my night. So great to talk to you and get big ole bear hugs from ya both. Love to you and all the family. May he rest in peace and know he will forever be in our hearts. HUGS!

Elaine: Ronna and I are greatly saddened to here of your loss. Les was a light in my day when I would see him. His life stories will always be with me. I will miss his smile, laugh and sense of cowboy humor greatly.
