William “Bill” Spohn

August 5, 1936 - October 7, 2015

William “Bill” Spohn – a resident of Pendleton, went to be with our Lord on October 7, 2015, at the age of 79.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, October 10, 2015, at 3:00 PM at the Pendleton Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Sign the online condolence book at www.burnsmortuary.com  Burns Mortuary of Pendleton is in charge of arrangements.

He was born in Redding, California, on August 5, 1936, the eldest son of Ray and Zelma Spohn.  He was a volunteer Fireman, but spent most of his life driving truck, traveling across the country that he loved.  In his down time he would design and make beaded necklaces which he shared freely with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-four years, Marie Spohn, three sons, Gary, Larry (Deloris), and Bruce (Chrissie), two daughters, Mamie and Brenda, nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.  He was preceded in death by one son Michael, two infant sons and two brothers.

He will be remembered for his quick smile, his dancing brown eyes, and the way he was always ready to tease.  He will live in the hearts of his family and many close friends.  It will always be an honor to have known this wonderful man.

We are so sorry for your loss. We will miss seeing him at the Senior Center at lunch and miss his blue truck going by the house on his way home. You are all in our thoughts.

Thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers! I miss him more than I can ever express, but I am grateful for the thirty-four years that we had together.
