Glenda Ruth Stanton

September 26, 1948 - March 10, 2015

Our sister was born in Klamath Falls, Oregon, on September 26, 1948, to Curtis Stanton Sr. and Edna Boyd.

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Byron Curtis (Spock).

She is survived by her sister Ilene Stanton of Portland, OR; brothers, Curt Stanton Jr. of Pendleton, OR, and Byron Stanton of Klamath Falls, OR; sisters, Christine Stanton of Portland, OR, and Rosie Duran of Klamath Falls, OR; many nieces and nephews, Trina Crader, Stephen Jasso, Christi Jasso, Raquel, Michael and Gina Lunetta, Ryder and Morgan Princehouse, Eclipse and Shyam; and many, many cousins.

She was in the 1983 movie Sacred Ground.

Glenda lived for years in Southern Oregon. She went to school in Scottsdale, Arizona at Judson Co-educational boarding school. She moved to Pendleton 30 years ago. She worked for three years at Umatilla Housing, several years as a caregiver in Pendleton, and the last twelve years as a cook at the Senior Center in Pendleton, until she got sick with lung cancer.

She loved going to Wildhorse Casino and had many Bingo friends. We will miss our beloved sister, aunt, friend, and cousin. She was a Lady Warrior – Everyone loved her humor.

Funeral Services will be held March 13, 2015, at 2:00 PM St Andrew’s Church, Pendleton, Oregon; Father Michael Fitzpatrick presiding.  She will be taken to Beatty, Oregon, to be laid to rest in the Family gravesite.
