Friends and family of Rick--
I am a PHS classmate of Rick's, and while we haven't seen each other in years, this sad news prompts me to remember that Rick was a good guy; good sense of humor, a ready smile and a pleasant personality. His loss is shared by all of us. May God bless the family.

Please accept my most heartfelt condolences on hearing of Rick's passing. Rick and I were very good friends growing up in Pendleton. I looked forward to seeing Rick every year at the Round-Up. I have nothing but good memories of Rick as I am sure that you also have. Words cannot express my sorrow for your loss. Rick was truly one of kind and even though we went our separate ways after school, I still call Rick my friend. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time of grief.

Rick was one of those people you just enjoyed being around. He didn't try to be anyone but himself. He served our country, and then he returned home and served the community. He was the Real Deal as a classmate and a friend.

To the family and friends of Rick Thomas...

So far, 4 of Rick's classmates have signed this page and I am sure that is only the tip of the iceberg of that group of us who valued Rick back in school, and since, and who will miss his friendly smile at our 50th Reunion in the summer of 2015. A full life, well lived, is the great example that Rick has left for the rest of us.

Bye for now.
