William Edward 'Ed' Rolstad

July 25, 1935-September 12, 2013
William Edward (Ed) Rolstad, a resident of Pendleton, passed away peacefully at his home Thursday, September 12, 2013. His final days were spent surrounded by family. He was 78 years old.
Ed was born July 25, 1935, in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, to William (Bill) and Evelyn Rolstad. He attended North Dakota State College of Science in Whapeton, North Dakota, and started a career as a autobody repair technician.
On July 4th, 1957, he married Jeanette Olson of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. They started raising a family and in 1964 made their move to Pendleton where he continued his career. He worked for various body shops in Pendleton and surrounding areas.
Ed enjoyed watching wrestling and auto racing on TV. Also enjoyed recycling.
Ed is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Jeanette; sons John, Kevin, Larry, Michael and Mark, all of Pendleton; and daughters Vicki (Clint) Taylor of Pendleton and Tamara (Tom) Huntley of West Richland, Washington. Grandfather of Chelsea, Corbin and Alex Rolstad, Ashley and Josephine Finch and Christopher Reed. Brother of Betty Reynolds of Walla Walla, Washington, Grace Crossan of Salem, Oregon, and Joyce Dickinson of Chico, California. Also numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and others who were blessed to know him.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents.
As per Ed and family request, no service will be held. 


Arrangements were entrusted to Burns Mortuary of Pendleton, Oregon.

My condolence to the family, I know a lot of you already have read my messages on Facebook. I just want to add, he will be missed by all.. I have many memories of him and the family as I grew up there in Pendleton.. And as long as we keep their memories and remember them in our hearts they will live on..
