Francisco H. Ruiz

Jan. 20, 1945 – Aug. 9, 2013


Francisco H. Ruiz – a Pendleton resident passed away Friday evening, August 9, 2013, at his home.  He was 68 years old.  A Memorial Rosary will be held Saturday, September 7, 2013, at 12:00 Noon at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Mission, followed by a potluck at 3:00 PM.  Sign the online condolence book at  Burns Mortuary of Pendleton handled arrangements. 

Francisco was born January 20, 1945, in Nayarit, Mexico, to Antonio Ruiz and Guadalupe Hernandez.  He was raised in Mexico where he spend his younger years.  Francisco moved to the United States over thirty years ago and made his home in Pendleton.  He worked for Kinzua Pine Mills for over twenty years, until failing health forced him into retirement. 

Francisco married Merna Lane on June 10, 2000.  They made their home in Pendleton.  He loved working in his yard. Francisco was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. 

He is survived by his wife Merna Ruiz at the home in Pendleton, several brothers and sisters and numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents Antonio Ruiz and Guadalupe Hernandez and a step-daughter Tonia Lewis and grandson Ebin Lewis.
