Many fond memories of John in high school. His death came as a shock to me, hit close to home. I will never forget some Sluggo stories, especially in football. I think of him and smile. My thoughts are with Susan and all the Sams family.

Susan and family

We have certainly missed you all since you moved away from 7th street. John was too young to leave us, but we have wonderful memories of all the family.
I hope that John and Wayne are in the same line to talk to St. Peter. My heart goes out to you all.

I was so sad to hear about "Pops" leaving us! I have so many memories I will cherish forever. Pops and Sue were like my other parents growing up. I spent many days and nights with Feather and Sam. I will surely miss our visits and conversations not to mention our countless laughs. Until we meet again rest well Pops and fly with the angels. Love you forever!

To of the Sams family,

I am so sorry to be late with this, I have thought of you all so much and remembered so many things in the past two weeks. I will never forget that warm easy smile, and the genuineness of his friendliness. Too bad more people aren't like that.

Sue, I just heard about your Johns passing today, and even though this is late, I just wanted you to know how sorry I am for your loss. He must have been a great guy to have been married to you for 42 years. Remember the good times, like when we all worked at EOCI. I was going thru some old photos today, and saw the ones of us all dressed up for Halloween, you were a green M&M and I was a baby devil....what laughs we had, hopefully you will feel like laughing again real soon. If I had your phone number, I''d call and we could have lunch or something. Feel free to call me, I am still in the phone book. We aree getting ready to go on another cruise and I sure wish I had your beautiful gold jacket to wear. I miss and love you and am so sorry you had to go thru this heartache......Bev
