Alvin H. Seggerman - a resident of Pendleton, died Thursday, January 26, 2012 in a Walla Walla, Washington Hospital. He was 63 years old. Services are planned for Saturday, February 4, 2012, at 3:00 P.M. at the Pendleton First Assembly of God Church, 1911 SE Court Street. Mr. Seggerman was born January 5, 1949, in White Salmon, Washington. He was the son of Theodore and Aileen Edelman Seggerman. As a young boy he attended schools in Iowa and Texas. The family later returned and he was raised in various communities up and down the Columbia Gorge. After his schooling, he served his country in the United States Army during the Viet Nam War. He married Virginia Jones in 1970. In 1974 he was discharged from the Army, and the family lived in Tacoma, Washington. They had also lived in: Cornelius, Forest Grove, Christmas Valley and Portland, Oregon, before coming to Pendleton in 1990. While here he had worked at Lipperts Components, as well as working as a manager for gas stations in our area. He had greatly enjoyed fishing, woodworking, working on cars, basketball and camping. He also loved being with his grandchildren and spending time with his family. He is survived by his former wife, Virginia Seggerman of Pendleton, OR, his children: Michael Seggerman of Pendleton, Michelle Seggerman of Pendleton, Patrick Seggerman of La Grande, OR, Amy Dee Seggerman of Pendleton, and Melissa Johnson of Pendleton, two brothers: Don Seggerman of Aloha, OR, and Chuck Seggerman of North Plains, Oregon, ten grandchildren: Nicholas, Joey, Dalton, Preston, and Gavin of Pendleton, OR, Maddison and Isaac of La Grande, OR, and Ashley, Zack, and Zoey of Pendleton, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one grandson Hunter.

Daddy Seggerman was a big sweetheart who will forever be in our hearts and will greatly be missed by all who knew him. My deepest sympathy, as well as my thoughts and prayers go out to you all. Hugs and Kisses to Shelley and all her wonderful family! Love ya
