She was the daughter of Walter and Christine Roth Ohliger. After her schooling, she married Thomas Parry on July 2, 1949 in Middletown, Ohio. The couple moved to Key West, Florida, where Hilda worked as a Secretary at a U.S. Naval office. They then lived in Columbia Falls, Montana, where she was Secretary for Anaconda Aluminum for 23 years, until her retirement in 1984. Following retirement, the Parrys had lived in New Mexico, and then in Gold Beach, Oregon. She and her husband had been married for 50 years before Thomas preceded her in death in 2000. Hilda moved from Gold Beach to Pendleton, Oregon, in 2009. She had enjoyed hunting and fishing with her husband. While she was living in the Florida Keys, she enjoyed watching the many storms in the area. While on the Oregon Coast she enjoyed taking her dog for long walks. While in Pendleton, she looked forward to her weekly trips to the salon, where she would get her hair done, or a manicure. Although she is the last of her family, she had inherited many friends whom survive and consider her as their family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Thomas, and a brother Walter Ohliger.
