David Olson - 66, of Pendleton died on Oct. 1, 2011, at Amber's Loving Care Adult Foster Home, after a long battle with cancer. No service is planned at this time. Burns Mortuary of Pendleton handled arrangements. Mr. Olson, was born Nov. 29, 1944 to Raymond and Ida Faye Olson, in St. Helens, Oregon. David lived most of his life in foster care homes due to his developmental disabilities. He lived for a time with Marjorie Kundiger and Bill Josephson, in St. Helens. Marjorie has remained part of David's life through the years, as a wonderful friend. Then he moved to Milton-Freewater to another care home. In July of 2002 he was brought to Pendleton to join Robin and Amber Taillon's family. He quickly won over the hearts of the Taillon children, Shiloh, Shalika, Taylor, Blakely Taillon, and Jordyn Pearson Shiloh's daughter. While at Amber's Loving Care, David enjoyed camping, watching sports, music and dancing, and collecting modelcars and pens. Survivors include: his sister Joanne Halbert of Seattle, WA, an aunt Pat Logsdon of The Dalles, OR, a niece Jesi Gapp of Seattle, WA, and great neice Abreane Gapp of Seattle, WA. Other people that were very dear to David were, his sister Jo Joanne, case manager, Richard Gardino, caregivers, Jan Carver, Chris Hallos, and Tonda Patterson. The other foster care clients, Betty, Michelle, and Tina. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
