William D. "Bill" Morrison, a resident of Pendleton, died Monday, December 20, 2010 in a Hermiston, Oregon Hospital. He was 52 years old. Memorial Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 in the Pendleton Free Methodist Church. Contributions in his memory may be made to the charity of ones choice, and can be sent care of the Burns Mortuary of Pendleton, P.O. Box 489, Pendleton, Oregon 97801. You may sign the online guestbook or send condolences at www.burnsmortuary.com Burns Mortuary of Pendleton is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Morrison was born August 12, 1958 in Decatur, Illinois. He was the son of Darold and Elizabeth Morrison. As a child he moved to Iowa, where he lived until he moved to Ozark, Arkansas where he attended High School and College. He married Traci Sanders on July 19, 1986 in Iowa City, Iowa. He later began working for the Wal-Mart corporation. The family had lived in Arkansas and Florida, and California, before they came to Pendleton in October of 1997. He was currently an Operations Manager for the Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Hermiston. He had worked for Wal-Mart for over 22 years. He greatly enjoyed coaching youth sports including basketball, baseball, and soccer. He was involved in many youth activities but primarily the Pendleton Youth Soccer Association. He was also an avid fan of the Seattle Sounders Soccer Team. He is survived by: his wife, Traci of Pendleton, one daughter, Nikki, and sons, Jonathon, David and Daniel all of Pendleton, Oregon, his parents Darold Morrison of Ozark, Arkansas, and Elizabeth Potter of Harrisonville, Missouri, two sisters Christine Smith of Harrisonville, Missouri, and Diane Halter of Iowa city, Iowa.

An honorable man who loved his family & friends. My favorite memory is watching Bill walking with Traci as they left together at night from work. He will be missed.

I will always admire Bill for the great man the he was. There is not a person more honest, generous, and understanding as Bill.It was a wonderfull gift to work with him. Your family will always be in my prayers.
